Overview
Planetary Parfait is a scientific visualization platform that immerses you in custom 3D terrain and data layers while offering cross-platform collaboration between desktop and VR users. Engage in conversations over rich scientific data. The source data is planetary GIS data from the Java Mission-planning and Analysis for Remote Sensing (JMARS) software tool, which leverages public NASA databases.
Users can prepare terrains using JMARS GIS, save them to their accounts, and easily access them in Parfait. Our Terrain Engine brings the prepared terrain DEMs and data layers into an immersive 3D environment. Whether you're analyzing surface features, navigating a lunar landing site, or preparing a virtual field trip to Mars, Planetary Parfait provides an engaging and dynamic way to interact with 3D terrain data.
